Some people may find short-term counselling beneficial for addressing a specific issue, while others may prefer longer-term therapy for deeper personal growth. The number of sessions can range from a few weeks to several months or more. Your counsellor will work with you to determine the appropriate duration based on your unique circumstances.

  • Yes, counselling is confidential. Confidentiality is a vital aspect of the counselling process, and counsellors are bound by professional ethics and legal obligations to protect your privacy. Information shared during counselling sessions is generally kept strictly confidential, unless there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when required by law.

  • Our cancellation policy requires a minimum of 24 hours' notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be subject to the full session fee. This policy ensures fair scheduling and availability for all our clients. Exceptional circumstances will always be taken into consideration.

  • 50-minute Individual Counselling sessions cost $145+GST. 50-Minute Couples Counselling sessions cost $175+GST. We accept payment at the end of each session either by credit card or e-Transfer. We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation with a Registered Clinical Counsellor to answer any questions you may have about the counselling process.

  • We encourage you to reach out to your extended health plan provider for details on your coverage. Many extended health benefits cover counselling therapy sessions with Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCCs). Solid Ground Wellness Inc. is a registered provider of counselling services, eligible for coverage by both the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) and the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).
